Homeless No More

For about two years Mr. O. attended without fail our weekly life-improvement classes for homeless folks at Shinjuku Chuo Park. Half a year ago we didn't see him for quite a while. Suddenly he reappeared looking very different, clean-shaven and well dressed, like a new person.
He excitedly told us that he had found a good job in a members-only restaurant in an upper class part of town.
Blessings came to him, he explained, because our classes taught him to trust in God's love and accept His will in his life. He used to be strongly opinionated regarding the kind of work he was looking for, and couldn't find what he wanted. He decided not to give up hope and faith and patiently waited for a job opening. Forsaking his own ideas he took on employment as a dishwasher and soon got promoted to overseer. He got acquainted with influential people who helped him find housing. All the while he was being an avid reader of our faith-building Activated magazine, which contributed greatly to his spiritual strength and determination. "Your classes helped me to hold on and to expect miracles", he told us, "Thank you so much for them!"
