Workshop for 12 Pediatric Doctors and Nurse at Khmer Soviet Hospital

SBSI held a workshop for 12 pediatric doctors and nurse at Khmer Soviet Hospital on April 25th.
Ms. Susan Thomas, who was a special nurse on pediatric intensive care in England, taught resuscitation and first aid.The class also included how to use AED machine on children.
In spite of the heavy rain outside, the participants were busy learning and practicing the life saving skills, some of them will be taught to the mothers of patients by them later.

 

Nikkei Financial Paper Visits the National Khmer Soviet Friendship Hospital

SBSI arranged for some reporters from Nikkei financial paper to visit the National Khmer Soviet Friendship Hospital on March 15th. They interviewed the director Professor Meng, as well as visited one of the ICUs and rooms for low-income patients. We hope this opportunity helped them to understand some of the challenges the people and government in Cambodia face in the medical field.

Calmette Hospital provide first aid at Cambodian National Para-Athletics Competition

On March 11th and 12th, upon the request from Side by Side International, Calmette Hospital provide first aid at Cambodian National Para-Athletics Competition, which was hosted by the National Paralympic Committee of Cambodia and Hearts of Gold. It was touching to see those para-athletics’ performance, as the photos show.  The first aid team attended many athletics during the events.
